About
IDOLWILD is delighted to present Poetically Human in conjunction with international art exchange organization BLAM (Berlin, Los Angeles, Mexico City) and curator DAG of GLUE Gallery, Berlin, Germany.
This exhibition does not attempt to define what it means to be human. Instead, it asks us to pause and recognize the poetry that already exists within our lives: in the imperfect, the intimate, the absurd, the exquisite, and the unresolved.
We are constantly translating ourselves.
Through art, we transform experience into form. A feeling becomes a color. A memory becomes an image. A thought becomes a gesture. A song becomes a line. Something deeply personal becomes a beacon that another person can recognize and relate to.
This beautiful ensuing connection is so Poetically Human that it brings together works that reflect this ongoing process of translation—between thought and feeling, experience and expression, the individual and the collective.
Artists participating in the exhibition include Diane Briones Williams, Gretchen Batcheller, Rachid Bouhamidi, Hely Omar Gonzalez, Nate Zoba, DAG, Grapebattleships , Klaus-Martin Treder, Tina Haber, and Dennis Fuchs.
Poetically Human will be on view October 19 through October 31, 2026. Gallery hours will be Thursday and Friday 11am-3pm, Saturday 1pm-5pm and by appointment.

IDOLWILD
IDOLWILD is a visual art agency and contemporary artist gallery run by H. Micke-Nelson Tong. We are descendants of curator’s ‘Multimedia Art Collective’, ‘League of Art Scenarios’ and ‘ICONOMY’, which have a rich history of art exhibits that lead back to the DIY art scene of San Francisco. It is our intention to build artist relationships, incubate creative ideas across disciplines and encourage collaboration.
DAG (Glue Berlin)
