About
Loose Ground plays on the slip between “loose” and “losing.” The four video works gathered here move through states of disorientation—losing touch with the ground, the horizon, with knowable history, with materiality itself. They circle moments when footing is uncertain and perception tilts, when what anchors us shifts, dissolves, or indeed, loosens. The ground remains literal too—the matter beneath us, excavated, handled, and reimagined. Together, the works trace a terrain where stability falters, where gravity wavers and ground turns loose.
SAP Space
SAP Space is a project space that thinks about the garden as an expanded topic, in that the garden is both a physical and conceptual space, and offers a springboard into considerations in naturecultures. The space is in the Hinterhof of a Neukölln Altbau, and includes a small single-story building and the garden within which it sits. Taking a cue from the rhythm of the seasons, SAP Space hosts exhibitions, performances, and workshops from April until October, and hibernates in the Winter months.
